디지털미디어 기반의 공공시설물 개념 및 디자인 제안 -벤치 적용을 중심으로- = A study on Public Facilities design Proposal Based-on Digital Media -Focused on Bench Application-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 공공 시설물은 테크놀러지의 변화에 따라 역할 및 기능 또한 끊임없이 변화하고 있다. 공공 디자인에 있어서 디지털 기술은 대중과 소통할 수 있는 상호작용적 환경을 제시하기 위한 도구로서 적극적으로 활용되고 있다. 디지털 기술요소로서 활용은 일방향적 정보전달 범위에서 벗어나 이미지 및 기호화되어 송수신이 가능한 쌍방향식 접근을 통해 시민의 참여와 적극적인 상호작용의 과정을 유도한다. 대중 개개인이 매체의 적극적 사용자로서 문화의 소비자이자 생산자의 입장으로 바뀌는 것은 곧 사회적 커뮤니케이션 체계가 개방적인 방향으로 변화하게 된다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 의미는 디지털 시대의 문화가 대중사회가 상실한 공동체적성격을 새로운 형식으로 구현하게 된다는 것을 뜻한다. 다양한 미디어들이 디지털화 되면서 개인(personal)을 대상으로 하는 현상이 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 디지털 미디어 공공시설을 바탕으로 사용자 개인의 콘텐츠(contents)를 구성하여 제시한다. 그 방법으로 개인화된 콘텐츠를 대중과의 상호작용을 활성화 시키는 공공시설물로서 벤치를 활용한다. 공공시설물 벤치에 사용자 개인의 콘텐츠 생성과 확장을 통해 커뮤니케이션이 가능하도록 한다. 사용자에게 수용된 콘텐츠는 또 다른 제3자에 의해 콘텐츠가 생성되며 축적된다. 이것은 사용자의 감성과 테크놀러지가 공공영역 안에서 상호작용함으로써 어우러짐을 통한 환경과 도시, 문화가 소통하는 공간을 제시할 수 있다는 것에 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, public facilities are also showing the endless changes in their role & function according to the change in technology, and such an element in digital technology is offering a motive of re-interpretation of the existence and role of publicness. The digital element in public design is aggressively used as a tool for suggesting the interactive environment leading to communication with the general public. Application, as a digital element, is imagified & symbolized free from the scope of communication, and thus it is inducing citizens` participation and the process of aggressive interaction through a two-way interactive approach. That each individual of the public, as an aggressive user of media, is changed to the position of a consumer and producer of culture obviously means that social communication system changes in the direction of openness. This research is aimed at studying on the interaction between public facilities and their users through the application of digital media. This research regards it as meaningful to suggest the space where environment, city, and culture are communicating with each other through harmonization created by interaction between a user`s emotion and technology in public sector.
