This study presents a vibration and impedance-based structural health monitoring (SHM) method for cable-anchorage subsystem in cable-stayed bridge. In order to achieve the objective, the following approaches are implemented. Firstly, a vibration-based cable force monitoring is described for the estimation of cable force by using acceleration signals measured from stayed cables. Secondly, an impedance-based cable force monitoring is presented for the monitoring of anchorage force using electro-mechanical impedance signatures are measured from anchorage subsystem. Finally, the performance of the vibration-impedance based SHM is evaluated for monitoring the change in cable force on cable-anchorage subsystem of full-scale cable-stayed bridge.
