This paper is written for introducing feminist economy. Since capitalistic modernization, the term of economy has been understood so as considering high efficiency and much benefit as the best value and hence being indifferent to or insulated from justice. But feminists argue that like other social systems, the economy is and should be embedded in society and therefore should be served to justice. Seen from such a view, recent alternative economic activities-especially fair trade, micro-credit, and social enterprise- are very impressive and important: those activities are oriented toward more social and ecological justice; than any other economic activities they are occupied by women or targeting women; by means of those activities women`s empowerment, self-esteem and subjectivity are facilitated and the evaluation of women`s labor is improved; and furthermore through alternative economy, the solidarity between women and other minority is strengthened. So we should sustain the feminist economy and in order to do, gender equality and women`s initiatives, alternative perspectives of human and world, and the mainstreaming of care are necessary.
