LeapGraffiti : Leap Motion을 이용한 Unistroke 한글 문자 입력 방법 = LeapGraffiti : Unistroke Korean Character Input Method using Leap Motion

국문 초록 (Abstract)

인터페이스 기술의 발전으로 다양한 Natural User Interface(NUI) 기술들이 등장했다. 이러한 NUI 기술들을 이용한 차세대 컴퓨팅 환경을 제공하기 위해서는 키보드를 대체하는 문자 입력 기술의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 NUI 환경에서 한글 문자를 입력하기 위한 Unistroke 기반의 문자 인식 방법을 제안한다. 또한 최근 새롭게 등장한 입력 장치인 Leap Motion을 이용해 공중에서 손가락으로 그린 문자를 입력 정보로 사용하였다. 입력되는 문자로는 복잡한 구조인 한글을 자소로 분할하여 Unistroke를 기반으로 변형한 한글 Graffiti를 이용하였다. 그리고 빠른 인식 속도를 위해, Dynamic Time Warping(DTW) 알고리즘을 이용하여 구현하였다. 실험을 통해 비교적 높은 인식률은 나왔으나, 설문을 통해 사용자들이 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템을 사용하면서 몇 가지 어려움들을 느낀다는 결과가 나왔다. 이후에 이러한 결과들을 토대로, 구조적인 개선이 필요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Caused by technological development of the interface, a variety of Natural User Interface(NUI) technology appeared. To provide the next generation of computing environments using NUI technology, we need technological development of character input replacing keyboard. In this paper, we suggest a method of character recognition based on Unistroke in order to input Korean consonant and vowel character. By using Leap Motion is the latest input device, we draw input information in the air. Korean character is made up complex structure, so it is hard to recognize by segmenting. In order to recognize easily, we use Graffiti based on Unistroke. For quick recognition, we use Dynamic Time Warping(DTW) algorithm. Through experiments we gain a relatively high recognition rate. But through surveys, we know that this system is difficult to use for a long time, user can"t easily catch exact start point. This system need to improve structurally based on this result.
