다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

This paper aims to discuss the characteristics of mantra spelling system based on the study of the contents of <Bimil-Gaegan-Jip> published in 1784. The <Bimil-Gaegan-Jip> that contains the teachings of esoteric buddhism also lists many mantras since mantra chanting plays an important role in practicing esoteric buddhism. The spelling system of the Eon-Banjeo(諺反切) listed in the <Bimil-Gaegan-Jip> is one of <Hunmong-Jahoe(訓蒙字會)>, the same as that used in the Manyeonsa and Mangwolsa mantra books. Next to that is the Siddhamaㄱ ̄trka ̄ in which Korean counterpart pronunciations on fifty Siddhamatrka letters are inscribed. Here the side points(傍點) are observed only partly and there are many carving errors . About ninety mantras are listed in Korean → Sanskrit order. In actual spelling of mantras the side points are not used and letters of △, ㅂ、ㅇ, ㅇ are not found, which is one of distinctive features. At the same time, the clause demarcation is practically done based on reciting sounds, and consonant-clusters are not specifically marked. Also observed are examples of the `t-Palatalization` phenomenon. This kind of spelling system still used in modern buddhism, is very close the contemporary pronunciation.
