교회 속성에 대한 논의: 고전기와 종교 개혁기를 중심으로 = DISCUSSION OF CHURCH ATTRIBUTES

국문 초록 (Abstract)

교회의 정체성을 확인하고 그 사명을 감당하기 위해서는 무엇보다 교회 속성을 알아야 한다. 역사적 회의인 니케아 공의회는 처음으로 교회 속성을 언급했다. 당시의 역사적 상황을 살펴봄으로 교회 속성에 대한 이해에 접근한다. 교리는 역사적 산물로 그 한계가 있지만, 그런데도 그 함의를 살펴봄으로 교회 속성 정립의 근간으로 삼는다. 다음으로, 종교 개혁기에는 그 역사적 상황 가운데 교회 속성이 정적 개념으로 자리 잡고 교회표지는 동적 개념으로 삼아 교회의 순수성을 드러내려 했다는 점에서 주목해야 한다. 하지만, 현대 교회는 교회 표지에 대한 개념도 약화하고 있다. 그런 점에서 교회 속성의 근간이 무엇이고 무엇을 지향하고자 했는지확인하여 교회의 정체성과 그 사명을 재정립해야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In order to confirm the identity of the church and fulfill its commission, it is necessary to know the church’s attributes above all else. The Council of Nicaea, a historical council, was the first to mention church attributes. By examining the historical situation at the time, we approach the understanding of church attributes. Doctrine has its limits as a historical product, but nevertheless, by examining its implications, it is regarded as the basis for establishing church attributes. During the Reformation period when focused on, in the midst of the historical situation, the church attribute was established as a static concept and the church marks as a dynamic concept to reveal the purity of the church. However, the modern church is also weakening the concept of the church marks. In this respect, it is necessary to redefine the identity of the church and its commission by confirming what the basis of the church’s attributes is and what it was aimed at.
