In the age of globalization, Intercultural relationship among the nations has been intensified, while the rol of language and literature teachers became very important, Learning the language is vital in order to establish the relationship among each groups and diminsh the distance that separates them. This paper focuses on revise the major variables that intervene in the teaching and learning of foreign language. Then try to make some suggestions. which would improve the process of teaching and learning. After reviewing some critical concepts of various scholars . like linguistic competence of Chomsky. communicative competence of Hymes, epistemological constructivism of Piaget and significative learing of Ausubel, the paper draws some conclusions, The intercultural teaching of the language requires the conventional teachers to change the attitude. Teachers should favor now the free and creative interaction of the students, other than being serious formal master.
