This research was performed to investigate the comparision of the efficiency of LAS removal by RBC packed with GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) and packed with sand. A experiment on the efficiency of LAS removal for each rotating speed[5,19,36,65(rpm)]of disk of RBC, concentration[25,50,75,100(mgCOD/1)]of LAS and inflow rate[1,2,3,4(ml/min)of LAS solution was carried out in each RBC.
A efficiency of LAS removal increases with increase of LAS concentration until 50mgCOD/1 LAS, after this concentration they are almost constant and a efficiency of LAS by RBC packed with GAC is about 1.5 times as high as RBC packed with sand.
A efficiency of LAS removal of RBC packed with GAC increases with increase of inflow tate of 50mgCOD/1 LAS until 2ml/min, after this inflow rate they decreaese but a effiency of LAS of RBC packed with sand decreases with increase of increase of inflow rate. A efficiency of LAS removal of RBC packed with GAC is about 2 times es high as RBC packed with sand. A efficiency of LAS removal of both RBC increases with increase of rpm until 36rpm after this rpm they decrease with increase rpm. However generally RBC packed with rpm with GAC is much better than RBC packed with sand and efficiency of LAS removal of RBC packed with GAC is about 2 times as high as PBC packed with sand at 36rpm.
