『東人之文五七』 소재 李奎報 漢詩의 選詩 樣相에 대하여 = A Study on the Selection Patterns of Lee Gyu-Bo’s Chinese Poems in 『Donginjimunochil(東人之文五七)』

This study examined the patterns of selecting Lee Gyu-bo’s Chinese poems in Donginjimunochil. The patterns were examined in the “arrangement of Lee’s life for each major state,” “acceptance of the criticism of Bohanjip,” and “sympathy and healing as a reader.”
The principal states of Lee’s life can be divided into the period of his activities to seek a government position, the period of his activities in public office, and the period after he retired from his government post due to old age. Choi Hae selected Lee’s Chinese poems by focusing on the period of his activities to seek a government position and tried to show how he managed his deprived heart amid the ups and downs of the pursuit. Selecting Lee’s Chinese poems for the period of his activities in public office and the period after he retired from his government post due to old age, Choi tried to reflect Lee’s entire life in Donginjimunochil by showing his attitude toward public office, his daily life, and how he lived until his last year in the world.
There is evidence to show that Choi accepted the poems mentioned in Bohanjip as he selected Lee’s Chinese poems for Donginjimunochil. Choi selected Lee’s poems by accepting the points that mentioned borrowing expressions from well-known masterpieces to write a poem and exhibiting new intentions in addition to criticisms based on Chiljajeokgu. Choi showed Lee’s selected works in concrete ways by making dots on good parts in his poems and drawing circles around good parts in his poems based on evaluations.
Choi selected and published Lee’s works known for their relations with Lee’s awareness of the times, his Chinese poetry depicting how he had to live a secluded life going against the world, and his attitude as a government official. This has something to do with how Choi had to live a secluded life by keeping his right-minded attitude despite his knowledge and ability to spread his mind in the world. This selection of Lee’s Chinese poems holds significance in the sharing and healing of emotions beyond time and space.
