This study aims to develop a picture book-based integrated art education program especially for families. The purpose of the program is to increase interaction among family members and develop social competence and creativity through both play and artistic expression linked to picture books. I set out a total of five teaching-learning stages. Those being exploration, immersion, thinking, expression, and shared thinking. The program named “A Picture Book Read Through the Human Body” consists of a total of 10 sessions consisting of 60 minutes per session and targets parents and their children in the age range of 6 to 7 years old. The significance of the development of the program is as follows: First, the value of the program is to provide creative family play scenarios allowing participants to experience daily art practice. Second, this program can provide an opportunity to awaken the joy of reading. Third, this program presents leisure activities designed to overcome the stress generated in daily life by engaging in play through artistic expression, and thus transform the home environment into a more creative one.
