When the detailed concentration gradient of organic matters is studied by X-ray scattering technique, scattering length density difference which arises from the electron density gradient is small and as a result only a limited information can be obtained. Whereas the scattering length density gradient of nucleus which is measured by Small Angle Neutron Scattering(SANS) can be made large enough for the fine structures to be determined using the isotope labeling. A wide range of the utilization program of 30MW research reactor, HANARO, SANS is currently in running at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. As a part of efforts to make most of the facilities, instrument has been recently installed and the corresponding instrumental / interpretational techniques are being developed for the future operation. The works done at HANARO for monochromation and calibration of neutron beam to achieve the optimum experimental condition were discussed.
