스토킹과 그 가해자에 관한 소고 = The Stalking and Its Perpetrator -The types of the stalker and psycho-social characteristics-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고에서는 스토킹 문제와 관련된 심각성을 인식하고 사건의 발생 및 특징과 함께 가해자에 대한 이해를 도모하기 위하여 국내외 연구들을 고찰하고자 시도하였다. 스토킹에 관련한 지금까지의 논의들을 고찰하는 것은 앞으로 나아가야 할 방향을 수립하는데 기초자료가 될 것이라 판단된다. 고찰 내용은 크게 네 부분으로 구성하였다. 첫째, 스토킹의 실태 및 사건의 특징과 함께 피해자들이 겪게 될 고통 및 가정폭력과의 관계성에 대해서 언급하였다. 둘째, 가해자와 피해자와의 관계에 입각해서 스토킹의 유형과 그 특징을 살펴보았고, 셋째는 가해자들의 동기 및 스토킹유발요인에 대해 기술하였다. 넷째는 스토킹에 대한 대책을 제언하는 것으로 마무리 하였다. 보다 구체적으로 실태 및 특징부분에서는 외국연구와 국내연구결과를 비교하였고, 가정폭력과의 연계성에 대해서도 살펴보았다. 스토킹의 유형과 관련된 특성들의 경우 연구자들 간의 비교를 통하여 세분해서 기술하였고, 가해자 특징의 경우 스토커들이 지니는 동기 및 행동특성에 대해서 고찰하였다.

Although the stalking had negative dffects on victims, their families, and society, it was still underestimated. Moreover, many researches showed that the cases of stalking had been steeply increasing. For this reason, the purposes of this paper were to review the process of stalking and perpetrator`s characteristics. This article was consisted of four parts. Specifically, the realities of stalking, its processes and negative effects on victims, the relationships between stalking and domestic violence were reviewed in first part. The types of stalking and its characteristics were examined in second part. Third, the psycho-social factors affecting on stalking were reviewed. Forth, what to do for preventing stalking was discussed.
