근거중심 실제의 원리와 지원고용 = Core Principles of Evidence Based Practice and Scientific Evidences of Supported Employment in Rehabilitation Services

국문 초록 (Abstract)

재활 서비스에 대한 여러 비과학적인 접근에 대한 반성과 함께 재활 접근 방법들의 개별화 및 체계화를 위해 미국 재활계는 현재 근거중심 실제의 방향으로 나아가고 있다. 근거중심 실제(evidence based practice: EBP)라는 용어는 의료분야에서 근거중심의 의사결정과정을 실천하기 위한 근거중심 의학(evidence based medicine)이라는 용어로부터 파생되었다. 따라서 재활분야에서의 근거중심 실제는 과학적 연구방법과 그 결과물을 통해서 장애인들의 재활 목표 달성을 촉진하며, 개별적인 재활 개입과정에서 최상의 실제에 근거하는 구조적이고, 명확하며, 적절한 의사결정에 의한 임상적 접근 방법이라고 할 수 있다. 한편, 비교적 짧은 역사 속에서 한국의 장애인 재활의 분야는 질적으로나 양적으로 많은 성장을 이루어 오고 있다. 이러한 성장에도 불구하고, 여전히 여러 재활서비스의 영역에서는, 사회적인 제약과 함께, 효과적인 연구 결과에 기인하지 못한 비과학적인 접근방법들이 남아있는 것이 현실이다. 이러한 논의에서 출발하여 근거중심 실제의 핵심적인 원리들을 고찰하고, 그 원리들이 미국 지원고용 분야에서 어떻게 적용되어가고 있는가를 살펴봄과 동시에, 구체적인 우리나라 재활 현장에서의 적용 가능성과 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

To enhance scientific approaches and systematize rehabilitation services, rehabilitation services in the US have entered an age of evidence based practices. Evidence based practices are interventions for which there is consistent scientific evidence showing that they improve client outcomes. Also, evidence based practice should be comprehended by a total processes: what clinical questions ask, how to achieve the best practice, and how to essentially assess the evidence for authenticity to the specific care situation. Further, a clinician has to apply the best data to the consumer s exclusive values and needs. Ultimately, the effectiveness of care and the improvement has to be evaluated continuously. In spite of numerous efforts to enhance the quality of life of people with disabilities in Korea, there are still several social barriers and unscientific service approaches which might not be proven by effective research results. The rehabilitation system in Korea would have been more developed if researchers and professionals had applied the evidence based practices into specific rehabilitation services. In order to apply and disseminate evidence based practices into Korea rehabilitation services, core principles and scientific evidences of supported employment were addressed. By integrating existing advanced knowledge and information of evidence based practices, professionals could enhance the quality of life of people of disability. Also, the rehabilitation system in Korea might be upgraded into an ideal direction.
