노인의 생산적 여가 참여가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 사회적 지지(구조, 기능)의 매개효과를 중심으로 = The Effect of Productive Leisure Participation on Life Satisfaction: The Mediating Role of Social Support (structural, functional dimensions)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 노인의 생산적 여가 참여가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 사회적 지지(구조적, 기능적 측면)의 매개효과를 살펴보는 것이다. 본 연구는 제8차 국민노후보장패널의 65세 이상 노인 3,954명을 대상으로 하였다. 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석을 실시하였으며, 매개효과 검증을 위해 PROCESS Macro를 활용하였다. 분석결과 노인의 생산적 여가 참여가 높을수록 사회적 지지의 기능적 측면과 구조적 측면이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 노인의 사회적 지지의 기능적, 구조적 측면이 높을수록 삶의 만족도가 증가하였다. 노인의 생산적 여가 참여와 삶의 만족도 관계에서 사회적 지지의 구조, 기능적 측면 모두에서 완전매개효과를 확인하였다. 본 연구는 활동이론을 기반으로 노인의 생산적 여가참여와 사회적 지지를 설명하였으며, 생산적 여가 참여와 사회적 지지를 높이기 위한 실천적, 정책적 제언을 논의하였다.

This study investigates the influence of productive leisure participation among elderly influences their life satisfaction, with a particular focus on the mediating role of social support in both structural and functional dimensions. The research utilized data from the 8th Korean Retirement Income Study, comprising a sample of 3,954 individuals aged 65 and above. Employing frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis, along with the utilization of the PROCESS Macro for mediating role validation, the study findings revealed that a higher degree of productive leisure participation enhances in both structural and functional aspects of social support. Furthermore, elevated levels of structural and functional social support were positively associated with increased life satisfaction among elderly. Notably, a full mediating role was observed in the relationship between productive leisure participation and life satisfaction through both functional and structural dimensions of social support. Drawing on activity theory, this study provides a nuanced explanation for the intricate relationship between elderly's productive leisure participation and social support. The discussion delves into practical and policy implications for enhancing both productive leisure participation and social support among elderly.
