Muslims in Myanmar are mix-blooded people, not pure race as Burmese Buddhists. They are descendants of Arabs, Persians, Turks, Moores, Indian-Muslims, Pakistanis, Pathans, Bengalis, Chinese Muslims and Malays intermarried with local Burmese and many ethnic Myanmar groups. Myanmar Muslims as alien like this had suffered a lot more than the fair share throughout the Burmese history. Most of them had suffered in silence and no historian care to document those in detail. Especially the Muslim ethnic minority, generally known as the Rohingyas live in the Rakhine State, a geographically isolated area in western Myanmar, consisting of coastal plains, a network of streams and rivers, and a mountain range separating it from central Myanmar, continue to suffer from several forms of restrictions. Today`s ruling Junta is continuing ethnic cleansing in Muslim areas, specially uprooting Rohingya Muslims. For the Rohingya Muslims from Rakhine State, becoming a registered citizen is almost impossible. The situation is even worse for their children born in refugee camps in Bangladesh. Regarded as foreigners, they experience discrimination in many ways. Rohingyas are either a historical name or the name of an ethnic minority in Myanmar, their human rights violations committed against them by the Yangon Junta should be condemned because they live inside Myanmar land not in outside. And Yangon Junta must recognize and accept Myanmar Muslims` participation in building Myanmar nation country. For the sake of fulfillment of the object they all must sit together to formulate the fair and just laws.
