장예모 필모그래피의 기호학적 분석을 통한 신화 읽기 = A Semiotic Literacy of Zhang Yimou and his Filmography - Centering around the symbolic meaning of the Red Lantern -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This essay has it purpose on using the semiotic Narrative Analysis on Zhang Yimou’s previous filmographies, Raise the Red Lantern (1991) and Hero (2002), to track the myth that has been actualized in Beijing Olympics opening ceremony which was head directed by him. Through this analysis, we will criticize the myth of ambition, called Ideology of Nationalism, which was hidden by the image covered with peace and harmony in the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony.
