구조방정식을 활용한 제주 도심지역 트램 도입 수용성 분석 = Acceptability Analysis of Tram Adoption in Jeju Urban Areas Using a Structural Equation Modeling

국문 초록 (Abstract)

새로운 기술 혹은 정책의 도입에는 반대의견과 찬성의견이 양립하는 것이 일반적이다. 특히, 반대의견에 영향을 미치는 요인의 파악은 새로운기술 혹은 정책을 성공적으로 도입하기 위한 첫 단계가 될 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 제주 도심지역에 신교통수단인 트램 도입 수용성에 영향을미치는 주요 요인을 파악하여, 성공적인 트램도입에 대한 기반을 마련하는 것이다. 이를 위해 약 8일간 제주도민 326명과 관광객 104명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 조사된 자료는 구조방정식(Structural Equation Modeling, SEM) 기반 수용성 영향 요인을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 트램 운영 특성에 대한 인지도가 높을수록 수용성에 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 제주 시내에서 트램 운영은 대중교통 이용 편의성이나 도시 환경 측면에서는 긍정적으로 평가하는 반면, 교통상충으로 인한 교통사고, 혼잡, 보행자 안전 측면에서는 부정적으로 평가하는 것으로나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 제주시에서 성공적인 트램 도입을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

When introducing a new policy or technology, it is common for both opposing and approving opinions to exist. In particular, identifyingfactors that influence opposing opinions can be the first step to successfully introducing new policies or technologies. The purpose ofthis study is to identify the factors affecting the acceptability of tram, a new transportation mode, in urban areas of Jeju. For this purpose,a survey was conducted on 326 Jeju residents and 104 tourists for eight days, and the surveyed data was analyzed for the main factorsaffecting acceptability using structural equation modeling (SEM). As a result, it was found that the higher the recognition of tram operationcharacteristics, the more positive the acceptability. In particular, while tram operation in downtown Jeju was evaluated positively fromthe perspective of the convenience of using public transportation and the urban environment, it was evaluated negatively from theperspective of traffic crashes, congestion, and pedestrian safety due to traffic conflicts. These results are expected to be used as a basisfor establishing policies to successfully adopt trams in Jeju City in the future.
