고등학생이 지각한 부모지지 및 심리적 안녕감과 진로결정수준의 관계 = The Relationship of Perceived Parental Support, Psychological Well-being and Career Decision Level of high school students.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 고등학생이 지각하는 부모의 지지와 심리적 안녕감이라는 개인적 특성에 따라 진로결정수준에 미치는 영향력을 살펴봄으로써, 부모와 교사, 상담자들에게 고등학생의 진로지도를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.
이를 위해 제시한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모지지와 심리적 안녕감은 어떠한 관계가 있는가? 둘째, 부모지지와 진로결정수준은 어떠한 관계가 있는가? 셋째, 심리적 안녕감과 진로결정수준의 관계는 어떠한가? 넷째, 부모지지와 심리적 안녕감이 진로결정수준에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?.
연구의 대상으로 수도권에 위치한 3개 고등학교 3학년에 재학중인 332명(남학생 180명, 여학생 152명)을 대상으로 부모의 사회적 지지 척도, 심리적 안녕감 척도, 진로결정수준 척도를 사용하여 고등학생이 지각한 부모지지, 심리적 안녕감, 진로결정수준을 측정하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 14.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, t-test, 적률상관, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 성별에 따라서 부모지지와 진로결정수준에서 유의한 차이가 나타났는데, 남학생은 부의 정서적 지지를, 여학생은 모의 정서적 지지를 더 많이 지각하는 것으로 나타났고, 남학생이 진로결정수준이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학교특성별에 따라서는 학업에서 우수한 특수목적고 학생들이 아버지의 정보적, 물질적 지지를 더 많이 지각하는 것으로 확인되었다.
둘째, 남?여학생 모두에게서 부모지지와 심리적 안녕감이 유의한 상관이 나타났으며, 부모지지와 진로결정수준은 남학생은 유의한 상관이 없으며, 여학생에게서 유의한 상관이 있는 것으로 확인되었다.
셋째, 부모지지의 하위변인 중에서 남학생은 아버지의 평가적 지지가, 여학생은 어머니의 평가적 지지와 아버지의 정서적 지지가 심리적 안녕감을 유의하게 예측하는 변인으로 확인되었다.
넷째, 부모지지가 진로결정수준을 예측하는지의 문제에서 남학생은 유의한 설명력을 보이는 것이 없었으며, 여학생은 아버지의 정서적 지지가 진로결정수준을 유의하게 예측하는 것으로 확인되었다.
마지막으로, 부모지지와 심리적 안녕감이 진로결정수준에 미치는 상대적인 영향력을 살펴본 결과 심리적 안녕감의 하위변인인 ‘삶의 목적’, ‘자율성’, 그리고 아버지의 ‘정서적 지지’ 순으로 유의한 예측변인인 것으로 나타났다. ‘부의 정서적 지지’에 ‘삶의 목적’, ‘자율성’이 결합될 때, 진로결정수준에 33.9%의 설명력을 갖는 것으로 확인되었다.
이러한 결과를 종합해보면, 부모지지와 심리적 안녕감이 고둥학생의 진로결정수준에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 학생들의 진로결정수준의 향상을 위해서는 부모의 지지, 특히 정서적 지지를 지각할 수 있도록 표현하여 학생들이 심리적으로 편안함을 느끼게 하고, 개인의 삶에 목표와 방향성을 갖고 타인에 의존하기보다 자기결정적이고 독립적으로 생활할 수 있도록 도와야 할 것이다. 학교 현장에 있는 교사, 청소년을 대상으로 하는 상담자들은 진로결정에 불확실하고 자신이 없는 학생을 위해 부모와의 관계, 심리상태를 살펴보아 학생들이 자신의 진로를 결정하는데 부모의 도움을 얻고, 심리적 만족도를 높이도록 힘써야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of perceived parental support(emotional support, self-esteem support, informational support, tangible support) and psychological well-being(self acceptance, positive relation with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, personal growth) on career decision level of high school students, and to have application the results to the field of counselling and education.
In order to meet this purpose, the chosen subject of this study is as follow ; first, what is the relationship between parental support and psychological well-being, second, what is the relationship between parental support and career decision level, third, what is the relationship between psychological well-being and career decision level, finally, what is the influence of perceived parental support and psychological well-being on career decision level.
In this study, 332 students(male: 180, female: 152) were selected from the 3rd grade in three other high schools which are located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do, and used instruments of Inventory of Socially Supportive Behaviors(ISSB), Psychological Well-being Scale(PWSB) and Career Decision Scale(CDS). The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, pearson's correlation, t-test and regression analysis by SPSS 14.0 program.
The results of this study are as follows ;
First, the parental support and career decision level have meaningful difference with their sex distinction. Male students perceived more fathers' emotional support than other factors, on the other hand, female students perceived more mothers' emotional support. Also male students had more high career decision level than females'.
Second, parental support and psychological well-being have meaningful positive correlation. Also, parental support and career decision level have meaningful positive correlation to not male but female students.
Third, fathers' self-esteem support to male students have a positive meaningful effect on the psychological well-being, otherwise, mothers' self-esteem support and fathers' emotional support had a positive meaningful effect on the psychological well-being to female students.
Forth, fathers' emotional support to only female students have a positive meaningful effect on the career decision level.
Finally, this study verified that fathers' emotional support, purpose in life and autonomy influence 33.9% on the career decision level.
As a result, the study is demonstrated that parental support and psychological well-being are the influential predictors to promote career decision levels of high school students.
If parents give parental support - especially emotional support and self-esteem support - to children's satisfaction, children will experience psychological comfort. Besides if the children have purpose in life and self-help not others-help, their career decision levels will be raised. So parents should know that their support to high school students is important. Also, teachers and counselor of youth can help to students to decide career through students' parental support and developing system for students' psychological well-being.
