This paper aims to study the applicability of the high-density and medium-height, courtyard housing in Korea, by examining the relationship of urban constraints and residential environmental needs in terms of architecture.
This study examined two aspects in particular. They are the overall planning techniques and the theory to understands the residential environmental requirements of the high-density and medium-height, courtyard housing. Thereafter, this study attempts to deduce the characteristic of detail plan by analysing appropriate institutional and legal restriction and it's the plan for improvement to be applied in Korea.
