다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)
It is discussed how to determine the space requirement for export containers based on design strategies of container terminals. Under the assumption of a static relationship among related factors, a model is constructed for determining the number of export containers to be stacked on container yard. The model considers terminal design factors as well as operational factors. A simple procedure to obtain the space requirement is provided.
A numerical example and the sensitivity analysis for some parameters are provided to help intuitive understanding the characteristics of the suggested model. Finally, a simulation studies are provided to evaluate the effectiveness of the suggested model.
