도·농노인의 삶의 만족도 분석을 통한 지역별 노인복지정책 우선순위 결정

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is aimed at analysing the determinant factors of life satisfaction of rural elderly and urban elderly, and suggesting regional priority for the welfare policies for the elderly. It uses the ordered logit model and the Korea Welfare Panel Data in 2009. The analysis results of this study are as follow. Participation in economic activities and income are significant in determining the life satisfaction of urban elderly and financial assets are significant in determining the life satisfaction of the rural and urban elderly. The subjective health status and psychological variables are key variables in determining the life satisfaction of urban elderly and rural elderly. The social variables are significant in determining the life satisfaction of the urban and rural elderly. This study suggests the regional priority of the welfare policies for the elderly in relation the with the support for the job, income, health, and social participation. The government should put the priority to creating job opportunities and securing the stable income for the urban elderly and improving the healthcare system for the rural elderly. The government should also provide the policy alternatives to support the social participation for the rural and urban elderly.
