-The most important aspects of modern product design are:
(1) Objective presentation of the design's suggestions
(2) Heightened communicability
(3) Maintaining consistency of design plans in the process of product development.
- Analytic mind is a Key to obtain useful guidance needed for product planning and design practice and it leads to a favorable decision by minimizing uncertainty.
- Design process should depend on the nature of the given design problem, wince there is a great deal of variety in the design problems faced by designers.
- Solving a design problem means tackling with a lot of embedded problems.
- by trying to understand the interrelationship between those problems, a certain indication would emerge and, as a result, we can obtain clear knowledge and precise understanding on the problems.
- Thus, it is necessary to introduce analytic thinking process and methodology to the knowledge base of design and, for example, the method of multivariate analysis would provide a useful clue in this case.
