The purpose of this study was to determine the parents` perception on the middle school physical education teachers` roles and reform. The subjects for this study were three hundred sixty one parents of middle school students who were selected from 3 different schools in 3 cities. Results of the study indicated that physical fitness and health was the priority of parents` expectation on the physical education teachers` role. The second highest response was on the professional work The third hihest response was on social education and the fourth was on the counsellor. The most reformable factors were on physical punishment, quality improvement teaching methods, personality. This study suggested that school, administrators, and teachers should consider and reflect parents` concern and expectation on physical education teachers` roles and reformable factors.
