한국의 첨단과학산업단지 개발사업에 대한 사회학적 분석 : 광주·부산·인천 지역을 중심으로 = Sociological Analysis on the Technopole Project in Korea : focused on case study on Kwanju·Pusan·Inchon

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The main purpose of this study is to define the characteristics of technoploe project in Korea through case study.
There is rarely any technopoles in Korea with except of Taedok Science Park in Taejon. So we must start from project level.
For the investigation, this study pays attention to three cases : three technopoles in Kwangju, Pusan and Inchon all which are in process.
The data used in this study are document, phamplet from development agencies, neswpaper and the local council proceedings.
The results of this study are as follows :
First, it often depends on political decision by Central Goverment to make technopole initiatives. Especially, this trend is distinguished in Pusan, Kwangju.
Second, the role of local goverment is weak because most administration system is directed to Central Goverment. Therefore without the support of Central Goverment, it is impossible to go through the project.
Third, beyond each case's difference, three cases have common difficulty. : They have lied not in Seoul which, in 1987, accounted for 43.6 percent of national manufacturing output, and for 62.8 percent of high-technology manufacturing output.
Thus to solve the problem of uneven development is very important.
In Korea, It may be early to discuss the development strategy through the partnership between public agency and private sector.
However, Media Valley in Inchon are in process by the third sector way which is partnership between public agencies and private sectors.
It is necessary to pay attention to it.
