This study was intended to comparison of social skills between children with mental retardation and learning disabilities. The subjects of this study were 314 children 100 normal children, 100 mental retardation, 114 learning disabilities. Instrument used in measures a social skills of children was Gresham and Elliott`s Social Skills Rating System(SSRS, 1990). The main conclusions form the study were as follows: First, comparisons on social skill level were found more higher level into children with mental retardation than children with learning disabilities. Second, comparisons on cooperation skills were not found differences in mental retardation and learning disabilities. However, comparisons on assertion skills and self-control skills were found differences in mental retardation and learning disabilities. Assertion skills and self-control skills were more higher level into children with mental retardation than learning disabilities.
