남명(南冥)ㆍ퇴계학(退溪學)의 교차와 절충 －월담(月潭) 김정룡(金廷龍)과 국원(菊園) 김정견(金廷堅) 형제의 삶과 학문－ = The Intersection and Compromise of Nammyeong Studies and Toegye Studies

From the theory of woof and warp perspective, Kim Jeong-ryong and Jeong-gyeon brothers were talented people who led by converging the longitudinal knowledge of family academic tradition of Seogye established by Kim Dam-soo and the lateral learning of Yeongnamhak (Toegyehak, Nammyeonghak). In this regard, the brothers were the talents that born into Seogye family and raised by regional infrastructure of Yeongnam. Above all, the brothers were not satisfied with their knowledge and studies, but rather acted as a stimulant for the social and cultural development of Joseon and Youngnam through their intense self-improvement.
So far, Kim Jeong-ryong 's historical status has not exceeded the target of statistical processing of successful examination candidate, and in the case of Kim Jeong-gyeon, he should be satisfied with the registration of names on the status table of disciple of Hangang(寒岡) and Ubok(愚伏), but now the viewpoint on these brothers needs to be fundamentally adjusted. In this part, we should recognize that Kim Jeong-ryong and Jeong-gyeon brothers exited with upright attitude in the 17th century in Sarim society in Yeongnam, and that they were faithful to the role of the times, not because of their own prominence , but because of their father's attachment to their child- ren's education. This is the small achievement of this disquisition.
