The discussion of fairness triggered by Michael Sandel’s criticism of the meritocratic myth has been discussed as a social issue in Korea. Education is always a hot topic at this time. At the root of Korea’s education policy lies a meritocratic view of education, and for this reason, schools have functioned as a venue for competition for entrance exams.
