딜레마로 접근한 어느 코치의 삶 = A Coach’s Life Approached as a Dilemmas

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 딜레마를 통하여 코치의 삶에 대하여 알고 이해하고자 하는 내러티브 탐구이다. 본 연구의 연구 참여자는41세 기혼의 남성 컬링 코치이다. 현장 텍스트는 5회의 면담과 SNS 메시지를 통하여 생성되었다. 연구 텍스트는1차 임시적 텍스트와 2차 연구 텍스트 작성 과정을 거쳤다. 임시적 텍스트 작성을 위한 딜레마 파악은 반복적인읽기 과정을 통하여 이루어졌고, 2차 연구 텍스트는 임시적 텍스트에 자존감이라는 살을 붙여 하나의 큰 이야기로만들어졌다. 연구 텍스트 내용은 다음과 같다. Ⅰ장에서는 연구 동기, 이론적 배경, 연구 목적을 기술하였다. Ⅱ장은연구 방법을 제시하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 코치의 딜레마를 정체성과 코칭으로 분류하여 이야기하였다. 첫 번째, 정체성과관련해서는 존재 모습으로서 교육자 대(對) 기술자의 딜레마, 존재 방식으로서 안정 對 열정의 딜레마, 존재의 성장과관련하여 정직 對 비루의 딜레마를 그려냈다. 두 번째, 코칭에서는 선수단의 규모와 관련하여 소수정예 對 다다익선사이의 딜레마, 지도 방침으로서 학생 선수 對 선수 사이의 딜레마. 지도 목표로서 운동 對 인성 사이의 딜레마, 지도 방법으로서 수평적 코치 對 수직적 코치 사이의 딜레마를 표현했다. Ⅳ장은 딜레마에 있어 자존감의 기능을제시하고, 코치의 딜레마는 경제적 안정과 명예를 위한 것이었음을 밝혔다. Ⅴ장에서는 코치의 딜레마 본질은 경제적안정과 명예를 넘어 행복한 삶이며, 딜레마는 행복한 삶을 추구하는 하나의 과정임을 이야기했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is a narrative inquiry aimed at understanding the life of a coach through the lens of dilemmas. The research participant is a 41-year-old married male curling coach. The field text was generated through five interviews and social media messages.
Interim text was generated first, followed by a second research text. The identification of dilemmas for the creation of the interim text was achieved through a process of repetitive reading. The second research text was created by adding the theme of self-esteem to the interim text, forming a comprehensive narrative. The content of the research text is as follows: Chapter I describes the motivation for the study, theoretical background, and research objectives. Chapter II presents the research methodology.
Chapter III categorizes and discusses the coach's dilemmas related to identity and coaching. First, identity dilemmas include the educator versus technician dilemma as a appearance for existence, the stability versus passion dilemma as a mode of existence, and the honesty versus corruption dilemma related to the growth of existence. Second, coaching dilemmas encompass the dilemma between a small elite team versus a large team in relation to team size, the dilemma between student-athletes and athletes in terms of coaching policies, the dilemma between sports and character development as coaching goals, and the dilemma between horizontal and vertical coaching methods.
Chapter IV presents the role of self-esteem in these dilemmas, reveals that the core of the coach's dilemmas lies in balancing stable income and honor. Chapter V discusses that the essence of dilemmas is the pursuit of a happy life and that dilemmas are a process of pursuing a happy life.
