발달장애아동을 위한 적응행동(SIB-R)의 한국 표준화 연구 = A Study for Standardization of the Korean Scales of Independent Behavior-Revised(SIB-R) for Children with Mental Retardation

A major challenge in the fields of mental retardation is to produce adaptive behavior assessment instrument to detect support needs in daily life and independence. However, there are few assessment instrument measuring adaptive behaviors for children with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in Korea. Existing assessments are hardly capable of examining multiple domains of functioning in daily life and fail to link the results of the assessment to intervention.
Therefore, this study was conducted to develop the Korean version of SIB-R examining the reliabilities as well as the content and construct validity of the test instrument. The target population for the study were 3,169 children with and without disabilities with the age range from 3 months to 18 years old.
In results, the factor loadings, correlation between categories, and Cronbach's alpha were significantly high and the scale was known to be valid in content and construct validity. It is expected that the SIB-R can be utilized to assess the adaptive functioning of children with mental retardation and developmental disabilities and their supportive needs in Korea.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 정신지체 아동의 적응행동을 측정할 수 있는 적응행동 평가도구(SIB-R)의 한국 표준화 연구를 수행하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 적응행동 평가도구 SIB-R은 미국에서 표준화되어 타당도와 신뢰도의 검증이 이루어졌으며, 각각의 적응행동 영역에 일치하는 프로그램으로의 연결이 가능한 적응행동 검사도구이다. 본 연구의 표집 대상의 연령은 만 3개월부터 17세 11개월까지로, 일반아동 2763명과 정신지체를 포함한 발달장애 아동 406명 총 3,169명을 대상으로 내용 타당도, 문항 분석, 구성 타당도 및 신뢰도의 심리측정학적 검증을 실시하였다. 산출된 적응행동의 요인부하량, 적응행동과 전체 점수와의 상관계수, 내적합치도 계수는 적응행동 평가도구(SIB-R)가 우리나라의 만 3개월부터 17세 11개월까지의 일반아동 및 정신지체 아동들에게 타당하고 신뢰로운 도구임을 밝혀주고 있다.
