조선시대 문헌에 보이는 『古記』의 史書的 성격에 대한 재검토 = A Reexamination of the Gogi(古記) as a Historical Record found in the Literature of the Joseon Dynasty

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 조선시대 여러 역사 문헌에 나타나는 『古記』 逸文에 주목하고, 이를 바탕으로 『古記』에 대한 새로운 연구 가능성을 제시한 2012년 김상현 교수의 발표문으로부터 출발한다. 본문에서는 선행 연구를 찬찬히 따라가면서 安鼎福이 구해 보았다는 『古記』 一冊을 실마리 삼아 조선 시기 여러 문헌에 보이는 『古記』와 관련한 언급 및 그 逸文을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 安鼎福이 보았다는 『古記』는 조선 초 李居仁의 손을 거치며 만들어진 일종의 ‘古記拾遺’와 같은 성격의 사서일 가능성이 크다고 결론 내릴 수 있었다.
이렇게 조선 초에 만들어진 李居仁의 『古記』는 고려 시기 각종 문헌에 보이는 『古記』 및 『舊三國史』 逸文을 수습하여 정리한 기록들이 중심이 되었을 것으로 보이며, 또 이밖에 당시까지 민간에 전하던 고대 전승이 수집되어 일부를 이루었던 것으로 추정된다. 이 책이 조선 시기 여러 문인들에 의해 그 사서로서의 가치가 철저하게 부정되고 외면당하였던 이유는 물론 그 기록이 가지는 특수성에 기인한 면이 크겠지만, 이와 함께 그와 같은 사서적 성격도 한 요인이 되었을 것으로 판단된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper focuses on quoted passages from Gogi(古記) that appear in various historical documents of the Joseon Dynasty, and based on this, started from Professor Kim Sang-hyeon’s presentation in 2012, which suggested new research possibilities for Gogi. In the main text, I looked at references and quotations related to Gogi in various documents of the Joseon Dynasty using the book Gogi that Ahn Jeong-bok is said to have sought as a clue. As a result, it was concluded that the Gogi that Ahn Jeong-bok saw was highly likely to be a history book of the same character as ‘a collection of supplement copies’ created by Lee Geo-in(李居仁) in the early Joseon Dynasty.
This book was compiled focusing on records that collected and organized quotations from Gogi found in various historical documents of the Goryeo Dynasty. In addition, it is presumed that the ancient traditions that had been passed down to the public until then were collected and formed part of them. The reason why this book’s value as a history book was completely denied and ignored by many intellectuals during the Joseon Dynasty was due to the unique nature of the records, but it is also believed that its nature as a history book was also a factor.
