신문기사의 신조어 재현 양상 연구 = A Study on the Patterns of Neologism Represented in Newspaper Articles

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study objectively analyzes patterns in newspaper articles aiming to identify the contemporary perception of the neologisms that play a core role in the linguistic culture of youths. To ensure its objectivity, “frame analysis” and “language network analysis” were used as the method of research. The core and results of the study are as follows. First, 51 articles were selected from national newspapers focusing on neologism during the last decade from 2004 until 2014, and analyzed by content. Second, the primary and secondary frames were analyzed. For the primary frame, 12 total frames were derived consisting of “foreign language contamination”, “overuse of slang”, “media responsibility”, “need of language purification”, “diversity of media”, “language heterogeneity”, “language creation”, “generation gaps”, “injection of value”, “culture codes”, “language organisms” and “mirror of the age”. After grouping the primary frame, the secondary frame was derived with “destruction of language”, “communication barrier”, “language strategy”, and “reflection of society”. Third, in order to identify what the key words closely involved were in each frame structure, “language network analysis” was conducted through corpus analysis.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년의 언어문화에서 중핵적 역할을 담당하고 있는 신조어에 대한 당대적 인식 파악을 위해 신문미디어의 신조어 재현 양상을 분석하였다. 신조어를 둘러싼 사회적 의사소통 체계에 대해 최대한 객관적인 점검을 하고자 2차에 걸친 ‘프레임 분석’과 ‘언어네트워크 분석’을 방법적 틀로 취하였다. 연구의 주요 성과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2004년부터 2014년까지 최근 10년간 국내 주요 신문기사 중 신조어를 집중 조명한 기사 51건을 선정하여 보도 현황을 분석해 제시하였다. 둘째, 1차 프레임과 2차 프레임을 분석을 실시하였다. 1차 프레임 분석에서는 ‘외국어 오염’, ‘비속어 과용’, ‘매체 책임’, ‘순화 필요’, ‘매체 다변’, ‘이질 언어’, ‘세대 격차’, ‘가치 주입’, ‘문화 코드’, ‘언어 창조’, ‘언어 유기체’, ‘시대의 거울’, ‘대표 유행어’의 총 13개 프레임이 도출되었다. 이후 1차 프레임을 그룹핑하여 ‘언어 파괴’, ‘소통 장애’, ‘언어 전략’, ‘사회 반영’의 4가지 2차 프레임을 도출하였다. 셋째, ‘언어네트워크 분석’을 통해 각각의 프레임 구성에 핵심어 간의 긴밀한 관계를 파악하였다.
