헬스케어 서비스디자인 개념을 적용한 제품디자인 연구 = A Study on Product Design applying Concept of Healthcare Service Design

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Decrease of death rate and disease incidence with the development of state-of-the-art medical technologies has caused worldwide aging of population. As the paradigm changes from post treatment to prior prevention, people are more interested in longer and healthier life, which has led to the expansion of 'Healthcare' industry that means overall health management. Thus, counties of the world consider 'Healthcare' as a new growth engine and global 'Healthcare' industry is growing enormously. From the perspective of product (commodity, item) design, 'Service' means material and immaterial activities to enhance the value of a product (commodity, item) through main and supplementary functions and 'Service design' means activities to develop and present services of a product (commodity, item) necessary for the users. From the perspective of product (commodity, item) design, 'Healthcare service design' means a design to satisfy customers focusing more on the development of supplementary functions rather than main function (of healthcare) for the healthcare products by grafting service design to healthcare products and presenting specific services based on user demands and behavior patterns for healthcare products. This study researched on domestic and overseas cases of product design which applied concept of healthcare service design while in next study presented 'Healthcare service design for a chair for office worker' which applies the concept of healthcare service design. This 'Healthcare service design for a chair for office worker' helps office worker prevent, diagnose and treat spinal diseases by using a chair which provides service of 'consistent thought' on right posture in healthcare terms and of 'consistent behavior' to correct to and maintain right posture for the long hours working on the chair.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

첨단 의료 기술의 발달로 질병발병률, 사망률이 낮아짐에 따라 세계적인 인구 고령화가 나타나고 있다. 사후 치료에서 사전 예방으로 ‘패러다임’이 변하면서 사람들은 더 건강히, 더 오래 사는 방법에 관심을 가지게 되었고 이러한 관심들의 증가에 의하여 전반적인 건강관리를 의미하는 ‘헬스케어’산업의 확대로 이어지고 있다. 이 때문에 세계 각국에서도 ‘헬스케어’를 새로운 동력산업으로 주목하고 있으며 글로벌 ‘헬스케어’ 산업이 크게 성장하고 있다. 제품(상품, 사물)디자인의 관점에서 ‘서비스(Service)’는 제품(상품, 사물)의 본 기능과 다른 부가 기능을 통하여 제품(상품, 사물)의 가치를 높이는 유형적, 무형적 활동이며 ‘서비스디자인(ServiceDesign)’은 사용자에게 필요한 어떤 제품(상품, 사물)의 서비스를 개발, 제시하는 활동을 말한다. 제품(상품, 사물)디자인의 관점에서 헬스케어서비스디자인은 헬스케어 제품에 서비스디자인을 접목하여 헬스케어 제품의 헬스케어적 본 기능보다 부가 기능의 개발에 초점을 두고 고객만족을 향상시키고자 하는 디자인으로 헬스케어 제품에 대한 사용자 요구와 행동패턴 등을 바탕으로 구체적인 서비스를 제시하는 것을 의미한다. 국내외 헬스케어서비스디자인 개념이 적용된 제품디자인 사례들을 연구하였으며 사무 종사자들이 활용하는 의자를 대상으로 헬스케어서비스디자인 개념이 적용된 ‘사무 종사자 의자의 헬스케어서비스디자인’을 제시하였다. 이 ‘사무 종사자 의자의 헬스케어서비스 디자인’은 사무 종사자들이 의자에 앉아 작업하는 긴 시간 동안 헬스케어적인 올바른 자세에 대한 ‘지속적인 생각’과 올바른 자세로 교정하고 유지하는 ‘지속적인 행동’을 하게 하는 서비스가 제공되는 의자를 활용함으로써 사무 종사자들은 척추질환을 예방, 진단, 치료 할 수 있도록 한다.
