다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

This paper examines the peculiar nature of populism in Eastern Europe. Populist parties in Eastern Europe, with few exceptions, strive towards economically reformist politics through politically conservative policies. Economically, they try to take a left??turn towards alleviating general poverty and social inequality which have risen as the major social issues in the process of post-socialist transition. At the same time, populist parties also intend to take a right-turn in social, cultural and political terms, by insisting upon reviving family values, religion, nation and community. This paper puts the development of populism as such in the particular context of post-socialist transition in Eastern Europe and as a response to the neo-liberalism agenda.
