마라도의 문화원형을 활용한 스토리텔링 방안 연구 = A Study on Ways of Storytelling Mara Island`s Cultural Archetypes

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study set out to examine Marado``s storytelling planning, roadmaps, designs, creation and marketing in order to build a master plan regarding Marado``s cultural archetypes. The ultimate goal of the study was to expand the domain of legitimacy regarding domestic and foreign tourists of Marado. This was to be done by developing a traditional and cultural content unique to Marado by identifying the cultural elements of Marado. Marado is a symbolic region which indicates the southernmost part of South Korea. This symbolism explains why so many tourists hope to visit Marado, as well as Jeju. Thus there are many passenger ships that continue back and forth to this island. However, due to the absence of storytelling Marado``s cultural archetypes, the island fails to make the best use out of its beautiful traditional culture. Thus the study focused on the island``s failure in commercializing itself and investigated several plans that could make a successful business out of Marado. By using the cultural archetypes of Marado such as Aegaeeopgaedang(Halmangdang), Rock General, women divers, and Marado lighthouse, the study hopes to make the best use out of this beautiful southernmost island.
