Nowdays, proper merchandising system of clothing is needed not only for functional clothes but also for fashionable ones. Since nineteen eighties, readytowear garments have been popular for Korean women. But it is hard to tell whether or not the system of the readytowear industry is concrete because of the short history.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the process of the merchandising system of the readytowear garments and to recognize the problem which the system of the garments had have. Furthermore, it aimed to find out the idea or improving the problem for better readytowear garments.
This research was done through information obtained from several libraries. And, the period of this was from May of August, 1984.
The results of this study were:
1. There was an indivisible relationship between merchandising system and fashion, and the importance of the merchandisingplanning was raised.
2. The manufacturers should research and analyze consumers since they are aiming at them in nature.
3. The manufacturers should aim at the invention of the creative designs and the introduction of advanced techniques in producing textiles and their accessaries.
4. There should be some institutes to teach fashion and other areas related to readytowear garments.
5. It was necessary to inform consumers to be able to select proper garments in the market.
