The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness by developing 6 types of coaching questions and programs to improve the brain-friendly leadership capabilities of SME employees. After allocating 30 experimental groups and 30 control groups, a coaching program to improve brain-friendly leadership capabilities consisting of 11 sessions was applied twice a week for 2 months.
Leadership competencies such as cognitive competencies, interpersonal competencies, and strategic management competencies were improved through the brain-friendly leadership competency improvement coaching program developed in this study. The conclusion of this study can be summarized as follows. First, individually customized leadership competencies can be improved through coaching questions for each of the six leadership types. Second, brain-friendly leadership competency can be improved by cultivating brain-friendly leadership coaching skills such as strength reinforcement coaching skills and weakness supplement coaching skills for each of the six leadership types. The brain-friendly leadership competency improvement program developed in this study is expected to contribute to improving job satisfaction in work life and reducing job turnover by applying brain-friendly leadership competency improvement programs such as empathy, communication, and interpersonal skills among members of the organization after testing six types of brain-friendly leadership between organizations’ leaders and subordinates.
