기독교 대학교육을 통해 경험하는 성장이야기 = 학생 에세이 분석 사례

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is to examine students perceptions of their growth and development during college years and also perceived factors that influence such growth. Students autobiographical essays from one Christian university were analyzed based on 5 areas of competencies that this university is expecting their students to grow - faith & value, character building, global mind, integration of multiple academic areas, creative problem-solving, thinking skills. First two areas are the most frequently mentioned areas of the growth, whereas the last two are the least. More specifically growth in the interpersonal relationship is highly appreciated during the Christian college education in this university. Factors related to such growth are the combination of individual instruction, group activities, and dorm life. Most importantly involvement of the students-students and faculty-students interactions are perceived to be a critical element for the student growth.
