산후 및 수술후 동통에 대한 Fenoprofen , Codeine제제 및 Placebo와의 효과 비교 = A Comparison of the Analgesic Effects of Fenoprofen, Codeine and Placebo in Postpartum and Postoperative Pain

Fenoprofen calcium, prostaglandin synthetase inhibitor, has been shown to have nonsteroidal antiinflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties. And it has been used in patients with Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteoarthritis and general pain. In order to evaluate the effects and safety of fenoprofen calcium, a comparative, randomized study of fenoprofen calcium, codeine compound and placebo was undertaken in 228 patients with postapartum and postoperative cases of obstertrics and gynecology, Ewha Womans University Hospital. Fenoprofen calcium 600mg, codeine compound (codeine 15mg,aspirin 600mg)or placebo was given randomly whenever the patient complained postpartum uterine cramping pain, postepisiotomy pain and postsurgical pain. Analgesic effects and adverse side effects on the patient were evaluated by interviews, then the results showed that; 1. There was no significant difference in age, parity and initial pain intensity between each group. 2. There was no statistical significant difference in the effects of drugs to pain control between fenoprofen calcium and codeine compound but they were more effective then placebo significantly(P
