멀티미디어 수학동화 읽기 활동이 유아의 수학개념 및 수학적 태도에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Multimedia Mathematics Storybook Reading Activity on Children's Mathematics Concepts and Attitudes

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objective of this study is to examine the effect of multimedia mathematics storybook and mathematics picture book on the development of children's mathematical concepts and attitudes.
To achieve this objective, 41 four-year-old children from two kindergartens located in SungNam City were placed into two experimental groups. Nine multimedia mathematics storybooks were read to experimental group 1 using repetitive and interactive read-aloud style while mathematics picture books were read to experimental group 2 using the same style. The results showed that multimedia mathematics storybook reading had more positive impacts on the children's mathematics concepts. However, there were no significant differences in mathematical attitudes between the two groups. The results imply that multimedia mathematics storybook reading can be an effective way to develop children's concepts of mathematics.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 멀티미디어 수학동화와 그림책 수학동화 읽기 활동이 유아의 수학개념과 수학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 밝히는데 있다. 이를 위하여 성남시에 소재한 두 곳의 병설유치원 만 4세 41명을 두 개의 실험집단에 배치하였다. 그림책 수학동화 9권을 멀티미디어 수학동화로 제작한 후에 실험집단 1에게는 멀티미디어 수학동화를 반복적 상호작용적 읽기 방식으로 읽어주었고, 실험집단 2에게는 동일한 읽기 방식을 사용하여 그림책 수학동화를 들려주었다. 연구결과 멀티미디어 수학동화를 읽은 실험집단 1의 사후 수학개념 점수가 그림책 수학동화를 읽은 실험집단 2의 사후 수학개념점수 보다 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에서 앞선 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 수학적 태도에서는 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 나지 않았다. 이러한 연구 결과는 멀티미디어 수학동화가 유아의 수학개념을 향상시키는데 보다 효과적인 방법임을 시사한다.
