This study aimed to empirically examine the effects of a character strengths-based happiness enhancement program on the happiness and resilience of high school students 20 second-year students from M High School in C City, Gyeongsangnam-do, were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The program, consisting of eight sessions, was conducted, and the effects were analyzed through pre-, post-, and follow-up tests. Quantitative data were collected using the Character Strengths Test for Adolescents (CST-A), the Triangular Happiness Scale, and the Resilience Scale. Additionally, qualitative data-including activity sheets, reflective journals, and interviews-were gathered and analyzed. The findings revealed that the experimental group showed statistically significant improvements in happiness and resilience, particularly in self-efficacy, optimism, and self-control, compared to the control group. This study has practical significance in that it empirically presented the effectiveness of a character strengths-based happiness enhancement program in educational settings, contributing to the promotion of psychological well-being and happiness among high school students.
