    ABSTRACT

The Impact of Aviation Dangerous Goods Transportation Management System Quality on Safety Management and Safety Performance

Currently, the demand for air transportation is increasing every year, which inevitably leads to an increase in the transportation of dangerous goods by air. Dangerous goods are substances that can cause hazards such as explosions or fires, and transporting them by air requires great care and thorough safety management. To this end, we have categorized the Aviation Dangerous Goods Transportation Management System into three quality dimensions and analyzed how the quality elements of the system actually affect aviation safety.
We categorized the quality of the Aviation Dangerous Goods Transportation Management System into three elements: system quality, data quality, and service quality. System quality refers to how well the technical systems used to transport dangerous goods work. Data quality refers to how accurate and reliable the information about dangerous goods in transit is. Finally. Service quality deals with the responsiveness and user-friendliness of the support departments related to the Dangerous Goods Transportation Management System.
To analyze this, a survey was conducted among those involved in aviation dangerous goods. The survey collected the experiences and opinions of practitioners and was analyzed using statistical methods to determine how the quality of the system actually affects safety management and safety performance, and reliable results were obtained with data from 252 respondents.
The results show that the quality of the air dangerous goods transportation management system, especially the quality of data and services, has a positive impact on safety management and safety performance, which means that the more accurate the information and the better the services, the more likely it is that the safe transportation of air dangerous goods will be ensured. Furthermore, the study found that the quality of aviation dangerous goods transportation management systems does not directly affect safety performance, but rather mediates safety management.
These findings have important implications for those involved in the transportation of dangerous goods by air. They will be able to better understand how their systems can be improved and what factors they need to focus on to ensure effective safety management.
