Autonomous local governments provide their residents with administrative information and regional news through their internet web pages. However, in reality, electronic mail, bulletin boards, and electronic payment services are not fully utilized and a network system connecting subdivisions of autonomous local governments needs to be more efficiently managed and established.
The electronic government development plan has reached a point between the intial establishing stage and the final stage of completion. It is necessary for the government to reconsider the degree of benefits that the present strategies have brought to their citizens and implement more well-organized plans. Immense financial investment has made it possible for autonomous local governments and the central government to establish their own electronic information networks. There is an urgent need for a more efficient information network between the central government and its regional residents, as well as between regional governments and its regional residents. This study aimed to examine the residents' attitude level on the digital government system.
