The slot film cooling technique has been used to protect a chamber wall from hot combustion gas. This method has been applicable toramjet combustor and gas turbine. Especially, the multi-slot film cooling method is mainly applicable in the ramjet operating undersupersonic condition.
This experimental study has been conducted to investigate effects of a recirculation zone and a lip thickness to slot height ratio on a multi-slot film cooling in the ramjet combustor. A pre-diffuser typed ramjet combustor having a recirculation zone due to the expansion step has been used for this study.
