초임 중등과학교사의 수업 계획과 교수 실행에서 나타나는 특징 = The Characteristics of Lesson Planning and Teaching Practice of Beginning Secondary Science Teachers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 초임 중등과학교사의 수업 계획과 교수 실행에서 나타나는 특징을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 경력 3년 미만의 초임 중등과학교사 19명이 작성한 교수·학습과정안과 이를 토대로 실행한 수업 동영상을 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 초임 중등 과학교사는 수업 설계 시 학습 목표 설정이나 내용 일관성, 교수·학습 방법 활용 등의 측면에서는 일정 수준의 역량을 보여주었으나, 교수·학습 모형의 활용, 학습 평가 측면에서는 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 교수 실행 측면에서 초임 중등과학교사는 교과 내용에 대한 이해 수준은 높았으나, 학생들의 사고 활동을 유발하거나 긍정적인 관계를 형성하는 측면에서는 미흡한 부분이 많았다. 따라서 초임 중등과학교사는 교수·학습과정안의 역할에 대한 인식 전환과 함께 교수 실행 과정에서 학생들의 학생들의 참여를 지원하기 위한 실질적인 노력이 필요하다고 판단된다.

This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of the lesson planning and teaching practices of beginning secondary science teachers. For this purpose, we collected and analyzed lesson plans and classroom videos from 19 secondary science teachers with less than three years of teaching experience. As a result, the beginning secondary science teachers demonstrated a certain level of competence in setting learning objectives, content coherence, and employing teaching and learning methods, but there appeared to be a need for improvement in stimulating students’ thinking activities and in forming positive relationships with students. Therefore, it is concluded that beginning secondary science teachers need to shift their perceptions about the role of lesson planning and make more practical efforts to support student engagement during instruction.
