“자활” 개념의 재구성에 대한 탐색 -성매매여성 자활 현장을 중심으로- = An Exploration on the Reconstruction of “Self-Sufficiency” Concept: Focused on the Self-Sufficiency of the Prostitute

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explores the reconstruction of self-sufficiency in the prostitute. The results are as follows. At the present time, the characteristics of self-sufficiency paradigm are individualized self-sufficiency, self-sufficiency as a result. Unified self-sufficiency excluding the diversity and peculiarity of self-sufficiency process. And persons connected with the self-sufficiency understood differently the definition of self-sufficiency(analysis of individual and group interview data through focus-group interviews). The government understood self-sufficiency as a economic self-sufficiency centering around the results. The prostitute and practitioners in the field understood self-sufficiency as non-economic, non-visible something. And also they understood the self-sufficiency as a process. But they did not denied the economic characteristics of self-support. The reconstruction of the self-sufficiency are as follows: 1) combining independent(or self-sufficient) self-sufficiency and interdependent self-sufficiency 2) combining of self-sufficiency as a result and self-sufficiency as a process 3) combining of economic self-sufficiency and empowering self-sufficiency.
