동아시아 경제협력과 통합

국문 초록 (Abstract)

서울대학교 아시아연구소는 <동아시아 경제협력과 통합>을 주제로 2010년 대학중점연구소로 선정되었고. 2013년 8월 1단계 3년의 연구를 마무리하였다.
<동아시아 경제협력과 통합> 연구는 1단계 연구에서 본 연구소의 위상과 비전에 걸맞게 ①동아시아 경제협력 및 통합 연구 분야에서 아시아적 특수성에 기초한 새로운 이론체계 및 방법론을 제시하고 ② 동아시아 경제협력 및 통합 관련 데이터베이스를 구축하며 ③경제협력 및 통합 관련 지수(Integration Index)를 개발함으로써, 서울대학교 아시아연구소가 동아시아 경제협력 및 통합 연구의 허브 역할을 담당하고자 하는 연구목표를 세웠다.
<동아시아 경제협력과 통합>과 관련해서는 동아시아에서 경제공동체 건설 및 지속가능한 성장을 위해서는 경제의 특정 분야에 치우치는 것이 아니라, 경제를 포함하여 사회, 문화 등 여러 측면을 통합적으로 분석하는 것이 요구된다. 그러므로 본 연구의 1단계 연구에서는 다섯 개의 세부과제 즉 △경제통합 정도에 대한 평가 및 지표개발 △동아시아와 선진국 간의 거시경제적 관계 분석 △동아시아 재정연구 △노동요소의 국가 간 이동과 아시아 신흥경제국가의 성장과 통합 △동아시아의 사회적 자본에 관한 연구 및 북한의 체제이행과 동아시아 경제편입 등으로 세분화하여 연구를 진행하였다.
1단계 3년의 연구에서는 자료수집 및 데이터베이스 구축, 지표 체계 개발, 실증분석, 국내외 학술교류, 워크숍 및 학술대회 개최, 학술논문 및 저서발간 등 연구계획에 맞게 다양한 활동을 전개하였다. 1차년도와 2차년도에는 주로 동아시아의 경제통합 정도, 동아시아의 재정, 노동요소의 국가간 이동과, 아시아 신흥경제국가의 성장과 통합, 사회적 자본에 대한 데이터를 수집하여 현황을 분석하였다. 3차년도에는 1, 2차 년도 연구성과를 바탕으로 1단계 연구과제인 동아시아 경제협력과 통합과 관련된 각국의 현황분석과 통합지표 개발에 대한 연구를 마무리하는 과정을 밟았다. 그 성과들은 다양한 학술지의 논문의 형태로 게재되었다. 또한 본 중점연구소는 1단계 참여연구원들이 연구한 성과들을 모아 『동아시아 공동체 : 국가주의적 갈등을 넘어서』, 『동아시아 대중문화 소비의 새로운 흐름』이라는 두 권의 책을 발간하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Seoul National University, Asia Center was selected as a Core University Research Center(Key Research Institute Program) in 2010 by National Research Foundation of Korea in recognition of excellence of its research project on the <Economic Cooperation and Integration In East Asia>.

During the First three years of the research period(2010-2013), <Economic Cooperation and Integration In East Asia> project suggested a new theoretical and methodological model highlighting the specialty of Asian Studies. The program also assiduously researched the feasibility of an East Asian economic community and its sustainable growth.

More specifically, The project has focused on the achieving the following tasks : (1) The project conducted research on theoretical and empirical issues for cooperation in the East Asian region and for the construction of an East Asian community. (2) The project has tried to develop indices of economic integration and build a database for the East Asian cooperation and integration. (3) The project has tried to built an infrastructure for research on the emerging markets, which will enable it to play a significant role in promoting the East Asian community. The research results can be summarized as follows.
