This study systematically analyzes research trends and the characteristics of intervention types in domestic and international studies on interventions targeting young children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to provide implications for future practice and research. According to the selection criteria for analysis, a total of 39 studies published between 2013 and 2025 were selected, and their general characteristics as well as the features of different types interventions for young children with ADHD were examined. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the analysis of research participants showed that studies targeting young children only were the most common, and studies involving mixed-age groups of young children were also most frequently conducted. Second, the analysis of research design revealed that randomized controlled trials (RCT), which are group research designs, were the most common. Third, the analysis of intervention settings indicated that most studies implemented interventions in early childhood education institutions. Fourth, the analysis of intervention content showed that behavioral interventions were the most frequently used. Based on these results, this study provided discussion and suggestions regarding domestic and international intervention research for young children with ADHD. This study contributes by presenting an overview of the general characteristics and intervention types of domestic and international intervention studies targeting young children with ADHD published following the DSM-5 revision, offering insights for future interventions for this population.
