현대 예술장신구의 비가시성 표현과 확장된 예술성 탐구 = The Expression of Invisibility and the Exploration of Expanded Artistic Value in Contemporary Art Jewelry

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 현대 예술장신구에서 ‘비가시성’(invisibility)이 어떻게 조형 언어와 미학적 전략으로 표현되고 해석되는지 고찰한다. 현대 예술장신구는 감정, 기억, 에너지, 생명, 자연현상 등 보이지 않는 요소를 작품 속에 창의적으로 통합하여, 예술의 새로운 언어와 창작법을 모색한다. 본 논문은 비가시성의 개념에 대한 다양한 이론적 논의와 함께, 국내외 작가들의 작품을 분석하여 비가시성이 생명력, 자연의 흐름, 감정, 신체성, 공간성 등 다양한 조형적 실험으로 구현되는 양상을 탐구한다. 또한 비가시성의 표현이 예술장신구의 미적, 사회적, 철학적 가치를 확장함을 논의하며, 궁극적으로 비가시성이 현대 예술장신구의 창의성, 내면 탐구, 존재와 부재에 대한 근본적 질문을 제기하는 핵심 주제임을 확인한다. 이를 통해 예술장신구의 예술적·학문적 지평이 확장되고 있음을 제시한다.

This study explores how the concept of invisibility functions as a formal language and aesthetic strategy in contemporary art jewelry. Invisible elements—such as emotion, memory, energy, life, and natural phenomena—are creatively embedded in contemporary jewelry practice, forming new modes of expression and creation. By examining theoretical discourses and analyzing works by Korean and international artists, the research investigates how invisibility is materialized through various formal strategies, including vitality, the flow of nature, emotion, corporeality, and spatiality. The study further discusses how the aesthetic articulation of invisibility expands the artistic, social, and philosophical dimensions of art jewelry. Ultimately, it argues that invisibility serves as a key theme that evokes fundamental questions about creativity, inner experience, and the duality of presence and absence, thereby contributing to the ongoing expansion of art jewelry's artistic and academic boundaries.
