The aim of this study is to treat efficiently polyvinyl alcohol wastewater by electrolytic treatment.
In order to remove polyvinyl alcohol from wastewater by electrolytic treatment, Fe electrode was used as a soluble electrode.
The results of this study are as follows :
1. PVA was removed nearly to 100% as the value of ampere hour concentration was nore than 0.5 Ahr/l.
2. PVA was removed quickly as the current density was rised, the electrode distance was approached, NaCI was added.
3. The electric consumption can be controlled by the change of electrolytic teatment conditions, such as current density, electrode distance, electrode surface area, amounts of NaCI.
