현대한옥 실내디자인 색채팔레트 개발에 관한 연구 = A study on palettes of interior design of Modern Hanok based on the Korean traditional Colors

Color is one of the design elements representing cultural identity. Recently, to enhance cultural identity we study on modern Hanok. The modern Hanok is based on reinterpretation of modern architecture to continue our traditionality. It is necessary to derive essence of design and to reinterpret traditional architecture. We have to consider design elements such as ‘차경(borrowed scenery)’, proportion and color. Between design elements comparatively color is easier element to be adopted for reinterpretation of Modernism. However, many efforts on color of the traditional houses was not made. Especially, color research for interior design of the modern Hanok was not sufficiently perform. The purpose of this paper is to develope color palettes to reflect cultural identity of the Korea.
